The Asbury Park Historical Society works to advance the understanding, appreciation, preservation, and restoration of any item associated with the history of City of Asbury Park. This is being accomplished through:
- The collection, preservation, restoration, exhibition, and archiving of artifacts and documents related to the founding and continuing evolution of Asbury Park.
- The restoration and preservation of landmarks, buildings, and sites that exemplify the city’s historically diverse standing as a premiere New Jersey shore resort.
- The development and presentation of educational, entertainment, and social programs that highlight significant aspects of the city’s history as a center of life, culture, and business on the New Jersey shore.
- The researching, drafting, and publication of new articles, as well as historic journals, books, and newsletters. This is in addition to the development and production of audio and video recordings that document life in the Asbury Park.
